Polar Analytics ‑ LTV & Profit vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
Polar Analytics ‑ LTV & Profit and Zigpoll Customer Surveys serve distinctly different purposes for Shopify merchants in 2026. Polar Analytics focuses on unifying and analyzing existing data from various sources (e.g., Shopify, ads platforms, Klaviyo) to optimize revenue, particularly through improved ad ROAS, LTV understanding, and automation of abandoned cart recovery using Klaviyo. Polar’s strength lies in its comprehensive analytics, custom KPI creation, and ability to pinpoint missed revenue opportunities across various channels. Its target audience are data-driven merchants who want a unified view of their business performance and automated ways to improve profit. In contrast, Zigpoll Customer Surveys centers on gathering new, zero-party data directly from customers via surveys delivered across various touchpoints, including post-purchase, pre-purchase, on-site, and through email and SMS. Zigpoll's strength lies in its ease of use, customization, multilingual support, and AI-powered analytics to derive insights from survey responses. These insights can then be used to inform decisions regarding product roadmaps, marketing spend, and conversion rate optimization. Its target audience are merchants focused on understanding customer sentiment, uncovering pain points, and leveraging customer feedback to improve their overall customer experience and optimize marketing efforts. While both apps fall under the broader categories of operations and analytics, Polar is about analyzing pre-existing data streams, whereas Zigpoll prioritizes gathering fresh data directly from the source: the customer.

Our Verdict
Polar Analytics ‑ LTV & Profit is best suited for established Shopify merchants who already have significant sales data across multiple channels and want a comprehensive, unified view of their performance. Merchants struggling to accurately attribute ad spend, understand customer lifetime value, or optimize their Klaviyo marketing efforts will find Polar particularly valuable. It's a powerful tool for data-driven growth and automation.
Zigpoll Customer Surveys, on the other hand, is a superior choice for merchants prioritizing direct customer feedback and looking to improve customer experience. This app is ideal for businesses launching new products, seeking to understand the reasons behind cart abandonment, or wanting to gather insights to optimize their marketing messaging. The ease of use and customer-centric approach make it especially appealing to smaller businesses or those with limited data analytics resources.
