POS Variable Priced Products vs Pricefy ‑ Price Monitoringfor Shopify (2026)
POS Variable Priced Products and Pricefy - Price Monitoring are both Shopify apps in the 'Pricing' category, but they cater to drastically different business needs. POS Variable Priced Products focuses on in-store sales, enabling merchants to adjust product prices directly within Shopify POS at the time of sale, particularly useful for businesses like florists or vintage clothing stores where pricing isn't fixed. Our Verdict
The choice between POS Variable Priced Products and Pricefy - Price Monitoring depends entirely on the merchant's needs. For brick-and-mortar stores that require the flexibility to set custom prices during in-person sales and want to retain accurate product reporting, POS Variable Priced Products is the clear winner. It addresses a specific need within the POS environment. Pricefy is the better option for online stores seeking to monitor competitors' pricing and automatically adjust their own prices to remain competitive. If a merchant has both online and offline sales channels and variable pricing needs in-store, they may need to consider using both apps or searching for a combined solution, but it is unlikely to be available given their distinct focus.
