POS Variable Priced Products vs Rockit Discounts & Sales Appfor Shopify (2026)
POS Variable Priced Products and Rockit Discounts & Sales App, while both related to pricing on Shopify, serve distinct purposes and target different merchant needs. POS Variable Priced Products focuses on enabling variable pricing specifically within the Shopify POS system, offering features tailored for brick-and-mortar retailers who need to adjust prices at the point of sale. This app excels at integrating variable pricing into reporting and inventory management, essential for businesses like florists or vintage clothing stores. Rockit Discounts & Sales App, on the other hand, is a comprehensive sales and discount management tool geared towards online stores looking to implement sales campaigns, flash sales, and scheduled discounts. It provides bulk editing capabilities for pricing and allows merchants to display sale prices prominently with badges and countdown timers, enhancing the urgency and appeal of promotions. The core difference lies in where the pricing manipulation happens: POS for in-person, Rockit for online. The choice between the two hinges on whether the merchant needs variable pricing at the point of sale or a broader discount and sales management solution for their online store.
