Our Verdict
Shipandco is the clear choice for merchants who want to manage the creation of shipping labels and commercial invoices directly, particularly those using their own carrier accounts across multiple Shopify stores. Its feature set focuses on streamlining outbound shipping and order fulfillment. PostCo Returns & Exchanges, conversely, caters to merchants primarily concerned with simplifying the returns and exchanges process for their customers. Without more feature information about PostCo, it's difficult to determine if there's overlap with Shopify's own returns functionality. Merchants should carefully evaluate their specific needs in outbound shipping vs. returns management to choose the appropriate app.
Common Questions
Does PostCo handle shipping label creation, or just the returns process?
Based on the limited information provided, PostCo appears to focus primarily on the returns and exchanges process, and doesn't necessarily include shipping label creation for outbound shipments.
Can Shipandco be used if I don't have my own carrier accounts?
The description of Shipandco explicitly states that it uses *your* carrier accounts. Therefore, it appears you must have existing accounts with carriers like FedEx, UPS, or DHL to use the app.
Does PostCo integrate with my existing shipping carriers, like Shipandco?
There is no explicit mention of carrier integration for PostCo in the provided information. This suggests that PostCo likely handles the returns process independently of the original shipping carrier, perhaps generating return labels separately.
Which app is easier to use?
Shipandco's description specifically mentions a 'simple user interface'. There is no such claim for PostCo, making Shipandco likely more user-friendly for its core functionality of creating shipping labels and commercial invoices.
If I need *both* returns management and shipping label creation, do I need both apps?
Potentially, yes. If PostCo is solely focused on returns and Shipandco solely on outbound shipping, you'd need both to cover both aspects of shipping logistics comprehensively. Look for apps that provide all-in-one functionality.
