Postly: Click and Drop Sync vs XStak OMSfor Shopify (2026)
Postly: Click and Drop Sync and XStak OMS both address order management needs for Shopify merchants, but they cater to different segments with distinct focuses. Postly specializes in seamless integration with Royal Mail's Click & Drop service, automating label printing, order synchronization, and dispatch notifications. Its value proposition centers on streamlining shipping operations specifically for businesses using Royal Mail. XStak OMS, on the other hand, positions itself as a comprehensive order management solution with omnichannel capabilities and distributed inventory management, focusing on providing a unified customer experience through centralized order processing and efficient handling of returns. The key difference lies in their scope. Postly is a specialized tool concentrating on a specific integration with Royal Mail, while XStak OMS offers a broader suite of order management features. Postly's strengths are its simplicity and direct integration with a widely used shipping service, making it appealing for merchants heavily reliant on Royal Mail. XStak OMS caters to larger businesses with more complex order management requirements, including distributed inventory and omnichannel sales channels. The number of reviews also suggests that Postly has a larger user base and more established presence, but given it is 2026, this may simply be a new entry into the app marketplace. The decision between the two hinges on the specific needs of the Shopify merchant. If the primary requirement is streamlined Royal Mail shipping integration, Postly is the clear choice. However, if the business needs a comprehensive order management system with omnichannel capabilities and distributed inventory management, XStak OMS is the better fit.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants whose primary shipping method is Royal Mail and who need a simple, automated solution for generating labels and syncing order status, Postly: Click and Drop Sync is the recommended choice. Its focused functionality and direct integration with Royal Mail make it a time-saving tool. However, if a business requires a more robust order management system with omnichannel capabilities, distributed inventory management, and support for various fulfillment methods, XStak OMS is the better option. While XStak OMS may have a steeper learning curve, it offers a more comprehensive solution for managing complex order workflows and delivering a unified customer experience across all sales channels. The user reviews of Postly also give more confidence than XStak OMS with only one review.
