PostNord by Uniwin vs ShipX ‑ Shipping Rates & Rulesfor Shopify (2026)
PostNord by Uniwin and ShipX ‑ Shipping Rates & Rules both address shipping rate needs for Shopify merchants but cater to fundamentally different audiences. PostNord by Uniwin is a highly specialized app built specifically for merchants using PostNord's 'Skicka Direkt Business' (SDB) service. It streamlines shipping label creation and integrates PostNord's delivery methods into the Shopify checkout. Its value proposition lies in efficiency and direct integration with a specific carrier's ecosystem. Its low number of reviews suggests it caters to a niche user base already committed to PostNord SDB. ShipX, on the other hand, provides a more comprehensive and versatile shipping rate management solution. It focuses on advanced shipping rules based on various criteria (cart total, product dimensions, location, etc.) and integrates with multiple carriers like Starshipit, Sendle, and USPS. Its AI-based packaging algorithm and rate blending capabilities aim to optimize shipping costs and provide highly customized rates. ShipX's significant review count indicates a broader appeal and more general-purpose shipping solution. Its advanced features, such as AI packaging and distance-based calculations, suggest a focus on larger stores with complex shipping needs.

Our Verdict
If your business exclusively utilizes PostNord's Skicka Direkt Business, PostNord by Uniwin is the clear choice. It offers a streamlined workflow directly within the SDB environment. However, if you require a flexible shipping rate solution that integrates with multiple carriers, offers advanced rule-based customization, and optimizes for package size and distance, ShipX ‑ Shipping Rates & Rules is the superior option. ShipX provides a more comprehensive toolset for merchants needing granular control over their shipping costs and strategies. It's also a better option if you plan to use multiple carriers or need sophisticated features like AI-driven packaging.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
PostNord by Uniwin is likely easier to set up if you're already familiar with PostNord SDB. ShipX, with its more extensive features, might require a steeper learning curve but offers greater control.
Which app is more cost-effective?
The cost-effectiveness depends on your shipping volume, carrier usage, and the complexity of your shipping rules. PostNord by Uniwin might be cheaper if you only use PostNord SDB. ShipX could save you money through its AI packaging and rate blending if you have complex shipping needs.
Can ShipX display PostNord rates?
ShipX integrates with multiple carriers via the Carrier Calculated Shipping API. If PostNord is supported by the API and configured within ShipX, then it should be able to display PostNord rates. The app description does not explicitly state it supports PostNord but, given that it utilizes the Carrier Calculated Shipping API, it would depend on what carriers are integrated with the API for the store.
Does PostNord by Uniwin support rate blending?
No, PostNord by Uniwin focuses specifically on integrating with PostNord's Skicka Direkt Business and does not offer rate blending capabilities.
Which app offers better support?
Based on the limited data, it's impossible to definitively say which app offers better support. A higher number of reviews on ShipX might indirectly suggest a more robust support system due to a larger user base. However, this is just speculation.
