Our Verdict
The choice between Postsell: Order Editing Upsell and WebPlanex: GST Invoice India is highly dependent on the merchant's specific needs. If you are an India-based merchant dealing with GST, WebPlanex is the clear choice. It provides essential tools for compliance and streamlines invoice management. The significantly higher number of reviews further suggests its reliability within the Indian market.
For all other merchants (especially those outside India), WebPlanex is not relevant. Postsell could be a viable option for merchants seeking to improve their average order value and customer experience through post-purchase order editing and upselling. However, given the low number of reviews, it is essential to carefully evaluate its functionality and customer support before committing.
Common Questions
Which app is better for merchants outside of India?
Postsell is the only relevant app for merchants outside of India since WebPlanex is focused on GST compliance within India.
Does either app help with shipping?
Neither app directly addresses shipping management. WebPlanex calculates GST based on fulfillment location which is loosely tied to shipping processes, but the app is for invoices, not shipping itself.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
While both are rated highly, Postsell likely has a simpler setup process since it focuses on order editing and upselling, compared to WebPlanex which handles more complex GST calculations and reporting. However, user reviews can provide better insight to the ease of use of each.
Does either app integrate with accounting software?
WebPlanex generates sales reports that are useful for accounting, especially regarding GST, so it implicitly supports accounting workflows. Postsell's contribution would be to increase the total revenue recognized, but it doesn't explicitly integrate with accounting software based on the information provided.
What type of support is offered by each app?
There is no information about customer support for either app in the description. To evaluate the available support users should consult the app details page on Shopify.
