Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive solution to manage out-of-stock products and proactively generate sales, Preorder, Back in stock Duck is the clear choice. Its pre-order functionality, variant-level control, and established user base (indicated by the large number of positive reviews) make it a more robust option. The 24/7 human support is also a major plus.
However, if a merchant's primary need is a simple, customizable back-in-stock notification system and they prioritize ease of use and a Shopify 2.0-native experience, PW Stock Notify *might* be worth considering despite the lack of reviews. The ability to manually send notifications and the CSV export feature could be valuable for some. But the lack of reviews makes it a riskier choice compared to the well-rated and feature-rich Preorder, Back in stock Duck.
