Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with recovering lost sales from out-of-stock products and generating demand through pre-orders, Preorder, Back in stock Duck is the clear choice. Its high rating and substantial number of reviews suggest it effectively delivers on its promises. The 24/7 live-chat support is a significant advantage.
ShopAlert: Order Notifications is better suited for merchants who need real-time oversight of all store operations and want to ensure their team is immediately informed of key events. While it includes stock alerts, its broader focus on notifications for orders, fulfillment, and customer activity makes it valuable for operational efficiency. However, the lack of reviews is a significant drawback. If internal notifications are the primary need, ShopAlert *could* be useful, but alternative notification apps with established user bases and positive ratings should be investigated first.
