Preorder, Back In Stock ‑ STOQ vs Super Wishlistfor Shopify (2026)
Preorder, Back In Stock ‑ STOQ focuses on enabling pre-orders, backorders, and restock notifications, providing features to capture sales even when products are out of stock. It targets merchants who want to generate revenue from popular items and build waitlists. It has a significant user base and appears well-established. Super Wishlist, on the other hand, is primarily a wishlist app designed to enhance user engagement and drive conversions by allowing customers to save products for later purchase. It leverages wishlists to send alerts about stock changes or price drops. STOQ prioritizes turning out-of-stock situations into sales opportunities, while Super Wishlist focuses on improving the overall shopping experience and reducing cart abandonment. The core difference lies in their purpose. STOQ is about pre-selling out-of-stock products, and managing waitlists. It appears to be well-suited for businesses with products that frequently go out of stock and want to capture that potential revenue immediately. Super Wishlist aims to boost sales via wishlist functionality, encouraging repeat visits and conversions through reminders and notifications. While both apps share the 'Stock alerts' category on Shopify, they tackle it from different angles, with STOQ emphasizing out-of-stock revenue and Super Wishlist emphasizing customer engagement and sales uplift through wishlists.
