PreOrder Now & Pre order | PQ vs Sales CountUpfor Shopify (2026)
PreOrder Now & Pre order | PQ and Sales CountUp serve very different purposes within the Shopify ecosystem. PreOrder Now, with its established base of over 500 reviews and a 4.9-star rating, is designed for merchants looking to manage product pre-orders and backorders, a crucial functionality for inventory management and revenue generation on out-of-stock items. On the other hand, Sales CountUp, despite its perfect 5-star rating, is a much newer app with significantly fewer reviews (44). It focuses on social proof and brand storytelling through dynamic counters that display sales figures, charitable donations, or environmental impact, catering to merchants seeking to enhance customer trust and showcase their brand values. The primary distinction lies in their core functionality: PreOrder Now focuses on enabling pre-sales, while Sales CountUp focuses on visualizing existing sales and impact. PreOrder Now likely integrates with the product display and checkout flow, allowing customers to purchase items not immediately available. Sales CountUp, however, emphasizes customization and placement of counters on various storefront pages, offering merchants control over how and where they present their impact data. Thus, their target audiences and value propositions are distinct.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with inventory management and wanting to capitalize on demand for currently unavailable products, PreOrder Now & Pre order | PQ is the clear choice. Its established presence and focus on pre-orders make it ideal for preventing lost sales due to out-of-stock items.
However, if a merchant's primary goal is to build trust and showcase their brand values, particularly related to social responsibility or environmental impact, Sales CountUp is the more suitable option. It offers the ability to visualize sales progress and demonstrate the brand's commitment to charitable causes or eco-friendly initiatives. While it lacks the proven track record of PreOrder Now in terms of sheer number of reviews, its focus on storytelling and customized counter displays makes it a compelling option for brands prioritizing transparency and impact communication.
