PrettyDamnQuick (PDQ) vs SupaElements: Custom Checkoutfor Shopify (2026)
PrettyDamnQuick (PDQ) and SupaElements: Custom Checkout both aim to improve the checkout experience on Shopify, but they approach it from different angles. PDQ positions itself as a comprehensive CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) lab within the checkout flow, leveraging AI to personalize and A/B test various elements, including layouts, shipping methods, and even third-party extensions. Its strength lies in its focus on data-driven optimization and automated insights for merchants who want a hands-off approach to improving checkout conversion. Its target audience is likely larger merchants or those with dedicated marketing teams seeking advanced features such as real-time delivery promises and comprehensive tracking. SupaElements, on the other hand, emphasizes customization and flexibility, allowing merchants to build their dream checkout by combining various components and leveraging pre-set automations called SupaActions. SupaElements is more focused on providing the building blocks for merchants to create a personalized checkout experience, offering control over the checkout, order status, and thank you pages. While it highlights cross-selling, upselling, and branding opportunities, it places more emphasis on merchant control and visual customization. It appears that its target audience is smaller businesses or stores with strong branding and design requirements seeking greater control over the look and feel of their checkout process. The contrast lies in PDQ's automated optimization driven by AI versus SupaElements' customization-driven approach enabling tailored checkout experiences.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a hands-off, data-driven approach to optimize their checkout process and increase conversion rates, PrettyDamnQuick (PDQ) is the stronger choice. Its AI-powered A/B testing and real-time delivery promises offer significant advantages. The high review count and overall positive sentiment further reinforce its effectiveness.
However, if a merchant prioritizes complete control over the visual appearance and branding of their checkout experience, SupaElements: Custom Checkout is the better option. While it has fewer reviews, its focus on customizable components and pre-set automations allows for a more tailored approach. Stores with unique branding or specific upsell strategies might find SupaElements a more suitable fit. Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific needs and priorities.
