Common Questions
Which app handles affiliate sales tax collection?
Simple Affiliate automates the management of 1099 tax forms for affiliate payouts, which relates to income tax for affiliates, not sales tax collection from customers.
Does Price Before & After Tax calculate taxes?
The description suggests that taxes can be applied as fixed or percentage rates, indicating it can calculate and display taxes, not provide comprehensive tax calculation and filing services. Consult a tax professional for thorough guidance.
Is either app suitable for EU VAT compliance?
Price Before & After Tax aims to facilitate compliance via price display, but merchants should verify adherence with specific EU VAT regulations. Simple Affiliate is less related to VAT compliance itself and more on managing affiliate commissions.
Which app is easier to integrate into an existing Shopify store?
Without user reviews for Price Before & After Tax, it's difficult to determine its ease of integration. Simple Affiliate is touted as easy to set up, suggesting a relatively smooth integration process.
Can Simple Affiliate integrate with Price Before & After Tax for tax compliance of affiliate commissions?
While theoretically possible through custom development, the core functionalities of the apps do not inherently integrate. Merchants would need to ensure affiliate commission payouts are displayed consistently with relevant tax rules, which might require manual reconciliation or third-party integration.
