PriceMate – Make An Offer vs Rockit Discounts & Sales Appfor Shopify (2026)
PriceMate – Make An Offer and Rockit Discounts & Sales App both aim to optimize pricing on Shopify stores, but they achieve this through very different mechanisms. PriceMate focuses on enabling customer negotiation, allowing buyers to propose prices, which the merchant can accept, reject, or counteroffer. This app is designed for merchants comfortable with a more interactive and potentially time-consuming sales process, prioritizing personalized deals and potentially higher profit margins on a per-item basis. It also offers multi-currency support and customizable email notifications, which adds to the customisable feel of the offer process. Rockit Discounts & Sales App, on the other hand, is geared towards automated sales and discount management. It provides tools for scheduling flash sales, applying bulk price changes, and creating urgency with countdown timers and discount badges. This app is better suited for merchants who prefer a hands-off approach to pricing, focusing on driving volume sales through time-limited promotions and discounts. With features such as bulk pricing editing and sitewide discounts, Rockit Discounts is designed for efficient management of larger inventories and frequent sales events.

Our Verdict
For merchants who want to engage with customers, are selling higher-value items, and don't mind a negotiation process, PriceMate – Make An Offer might be a good fit. The ability to counteroffer and customize the experience could lead to improved margins and customer loyalty. However, the small number of reviews compared to Rockit Discounts raises a flag - proceed with caution.
In contrast, Rockit Discounts & Sales App is the clear choice for merchants who want to automate sales events, manage a large inventory, and drive volume through discounts. The app's scheduling and bulk editing features make it ideal for running regular promotions and clearing out stock efficiently. The high rating and significantly larger number of reviews suggest a reliable and well-regarded solution.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a store with a small product catalog?
PriceMate – Make An Offer might be better for stores with smaller catalogs because each item can be given individual attention through the 'Make An Offer' feature. Rockit Discounts, while effective, is designed for bulk operations and may be overkill for a smaller inventory.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
While technically possible, using both apps simultaneously could lead to conflicting pricing strategies and confusion for customers. It is generally recommended to choose one app that best aligns with your overall business goals.
Which app provides better customer support?
PriceMate – Make An Offer specifically mentions 'FREE post installation support 24/7'. Rockit Discounts does not mention similar dedicated support in the provided descriptions, however it has a larger, presumably more active user base, which could mean better community support and knowledge bases.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Rockit Discounts & Sales App likely has a more straightforward setup process due to its focus on scheduled sales and bulk discounts. PriceMate – Make An Offer may require more initial configuration to define acceptable offer ranges and customize communication templates.
Which app focuses more on increasing urgency in sales?
Rockit Discounts & Sales App is the app that builds urgency to drive sales, through features like a sales countdown timer and discount badges on product listings. PriceMate doesn't have equivalent features that build urgency.
