Pricing A/B Testing vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)
Pricing A/B Testing and Singleton | Verify Customers, while both categorized under 'Pricing' in the Shopify app store, address drastically different merchant needs. Pricing A/B Testing is designed for data-driven merchants seeking to optimize their pricing strategies through experimentation. Its core functionality revolves around running A/B tests on price points to maximize sales and conversions. In contrast, Singleton | Verify Customers focuses on access control and customer validation. It allows merchants to selectively show prices and 'add to cart' buttons only to approved customers, effectively creating a members-only shopping experience. The primary distinction lies in their objectives: Pricing A/B Testing aims to increase revenue by identifying optimal pricing, while Singleton | Verify Customers aims to control access to pricing information and sales functionalities. This difference translates to vastly different target audiences and use cases. A high-volume store seeking incremental gains from optimized pricing would benefit from Pricing A/B Testing. Our Verdict
If your priority is optimizing pricing strategies to maximize sales, and you are comfortable analyzing data, Pricing A/B Testing is the better choice. The app promises an intuitive way to conduct A/B tests and track key metrics like views, orders, and revenue. However, the extremely limited number of reviews (only one) presents a risk.
For businesses requiring customer validation before revealing prices – such as B2B or membership-based stores – Singleton | Verify Customers is the more appropriate solution. Its features allow you to control access to product pricing and 'add to cart' buttons, and create custom registration forms. The significantly higher number of reviews (78) provides greater confidence in the app's reliability and effectiveness, although these positive reviews shouldn't discount the need to assess if its feature set truly aligns with the needs of your specific business model.
