PriUnit : Price Per Unit vs Rockit Discounts & Sales Appfor Shopify (2026)
PriUnit : Price Per Unit and Rockit Discounts & Sales App both aim to optimize pricing on Shopify, but cater to vastly different merchant needs. PriUnit focuses on enabling merchants to sell products by precise units of weight, volume, or length, automatically displaying the price per unit. This targets a niche market, primarily grocers, butchers, fabric shops, or any business where selling products by exact measurements is crucial. Rockit Discounts & Sales App, on the other hand, is a broader sales and discount management tool designed to create urgency and boost sales through bulk pricing edits, scheduled sales, discount displays, and countdown timers. The key distinction lies in their core functionality. PriUnit simplifies selling items by variable quantities like 1.5kg of apples, a capability not offered by Rockit Discounts & Sales App. Rockit Discounts & Sales App's strength is in creating and managing promotions, a feature absent in PriUnit. While both appear to have excellent ratings, the review count suggests Rockit Discounts & Sales App has a significantly larger user base and potentially more proven reliability and feature set, despite PriUnit's specialized value proposition.

Our Verdict
For merchants selling products by weight, volume, or length, and requiring the ability for customers to purchase precise quantities (e.g., 1.2 liters of milk), PriUnit : Price Per Unit is the clear winner. It addresses a specific need that Rockit Discounts & Sales App doesn't. However, for the vast majority of Shopify stores looking to run sales, offer discounts, and generally boost sales volume, Rockit Discounts & Sales App is the more suitable choice. Its robust feature set and significantly higher review count suggest a more mature and widely adopted solution. The low review count for PriUnit makes it harder to assess its long-term reliability and support.
Common Questions
Can PriUnit handle BOGO (Buy One Get One) promotions?
Based on the provided information, PriUnit focuses on unit pricing and does not offer native BOGO promotion functionality.
Does Rockit Discounts & Sales App support tiered discounts?
The provided description highlights various discount types (percentage, fixed price, line item) but doesn't explicitly mention tiered discounts. Further investigation might be needed to confirm this feature.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
The information suggests PriUnit might be simpler to set up for its specific purpose due to its one-click linking. Rockit Discounts & Sales App, with its broader feature set, could have a steeper learning curve.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but with caution. Rockit Discounts & Sales App's discount features might conflict with PriUnit's price per unit display if not configured carefully. It's crucial to test thoroughly to avoid confusing customers.
Does PriUnit support variable pricing based on quantity (e.g., bulk discounts)?
The description emphasizes price per unit display for exact quantities, not variable pricing or bulk discounts. While it allows selling 1.5 kg, it doesn't automatically offer a lower price per kg for larger quantities.
