Pro Geo Redirect vs Traffic Policefor Shopify (2026)
Both Pro Geo Redirect and Traffic Police target Shopify merchants looking to manage their website traffic based on geolocation. However, Traffic Police offers a significantly broader suite of features extending beyond simple redirection. While Pro Geo Redirect likely focuses solely on geolocation-based redirection, Traffic Police aims to be a comprehensive security and geo-targeting solution. This includes blocking malicious traffic, creating allow/block lists, analyzing IP logs, providing content protection (image antitheft, disabling right clicks), and implementing GDPR compliance. Pro Geo Redirect is probably for merchants with simple geo-redirection needs. Traffic Police is for merchants with more complex needs and a larger concern with security and GDPR compliance. The slightly higher number of reviews on Traffic Police hints at wider adoption or a longer presence in the Shopify app store. The low number of reviews for both apps suggests they could be relatively new or niche solutions. It's worth noting the ratings are identical, both apps show current users have a good experience.

Our Verdict
For a merchant primarily concerned with simple and straightforward geo-redirection without additional security features, Pro Geo Redirect might be a suitable choice, especially if ease of use is paramount. However, given the extremely limited number of reviews, it's difficult to assess its reliability or long-term support. If a merchant is seeking a comprehensive solution to protect their website from malicious traffic, manage access based on location, and ensure GDPR compliance, Traffic Police is the clear choice, offering a broader range of features. The higher number of reviews adds a bit more confidence, despite remaining quite low. Merchants concerned about site security should seriously consider Traffic Police, despite its more complex feature set.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on the provided information, it's difficult to definitively say. Pro Geo Redirect, focusing solely on geo-redirection, may be simpler to use. Traffic Police, with its broader feature set, likely has a steeper learning curve.
Which app offers better value for money?
This depends entirely on the merchant's needs. If only geo-redirection is required, Pro Geo Redirect may be cheaper. However, if the merchant needs security features and GDPR compliance, Traffic Police offers significantly more value despite a potentially higher price.
Which app is more suitable for a high-traffic website?
Traffic Police is likely more suitable for a high-traffic website as it includes features specifically designed to block malicious traffic and manage IP addresses, potentially improving site performance and security under heavy load.
How can I determine which app has better customer support?
The provided information does not offer any insight into the customer support quality of either app. Further research, such as checking app store reviews for mentions of support or contacting the developers directly, is necessary.
Are the features reliable?
Reliability is unknown, as a low number of reviews suggests there is not enough data to infer feature reliability from users. A merchant might want to consider newer, better-reviewed apps that combine security with geolocation or investigate these apps' publishers for legitimacy.
