Product FAQ Manager vs Rapid Reviews: Product Reviewsfor Shopify (2026)
Product FAQ Manager and Rapid Reviews: Product Reviews, while both listed in the FAQ category on Shopify, serve fundamentally different purposes. Product FAQ Manager focuses on enabling merchants to create and display dedicated FAQ sections directly on product pages. It emphasizes customizability and organization, allowing merchants to reuse FAQs across products and tailor the design with custom CSS. Rapid Reviews, on the other hand, is a comprehensive product review and Q&A app with features like photo and video reviews, deep search, and automated review requests with discounts. It prioritizes performance and user engagement, with a strong emphasis on capturing and showcasing customer feedback. The target audience also differs significantly. Product FAQ Manager is best suited for merchants who need a simple and customizable way to proactively address common customer questions directly on product pages, especially if those questions are product-specific. Rapid Reviews caters to merchants who want to actively solicit and manage customer reviews to build social proof, improve product visibility, and gather valuable feedback. While Rapid Reviews offers a Q&A feature, it's integrated within the broader review system, unlike Product FAQ Manager's dedicated FAQ management capabilities. The language support in Rapid Reviews also indicates an appeal to a global merchant base. Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's primary need: proactive question answering versus reactive feedback collection and review management.

Our Verdict
Given the complete lack of reviews and rating for Product FAQ Manager, and the excellent rating and substantial review count for Rapid Reviews, it's difficult to recommend Product FAQ Manager in its current state. Rapid Reviews presents a much safer and more established option for merchants seeking to leverage customer reviews and feedback.
However, if a merchant *specifically* needs a highly customizable and dedicated FAQ system integrated directly into product pages, and is willing to take a risk on an unproven app, Product FAQ Manager *might* be worth exploring. That said, even in this scenario, searching for alternative, well-reviewed FAQ apps would likely be a more prudent approach. Unless Product FAQ Manager demonstrates significant improvements and garners positive reviews, Rapid Reviews is the superior choice for the vast majority of Shopify merchants.
Common Questions
Does Product FAQ Manager offer review collection features like Rapid Reviews?
No, Product FAQ Manager focuses solely on creating and managing FAQs, while Rapid Reviews is a comprehensive review and Q&A app.
Can I add photos and videos to FAQs with Product FAQ Manager?
No, Product FAQ Manager does not explicitly mention support for photos or videos in FAQs. It's primarily text-based.
Which app is better for improving my store's SEO?
Rapid Reviews is likely to have a greater impact on SEO due to the generation of user-generated content (reviews) and the potential for structured data markup. Product FAQ Manager *could* help by providing clearer product information, but its impact is likely to be less significant.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Rapid Reviews is described as having a simple setup with theme app blocks. Product FAQ Manager does not explicitly mention ease of use, but given its simpler feature set, it's likely straightforward, although the CSS customization might require some technical skill.
If I only have the budget for one app, which one should I choose?
Unless you have a very specific and compelling need for a dedicated FAQ section *and* are willing to gamble on an unproven app, Rapid Reviews is the better investment. The social proof and customer feedback it provides are generally more valuable for driving sales and improving product perception.
