Our Verdict
The choice between Productly and SexyLiving: Adult Dropshipping depends entirely on the merchant's needs and business model. Productly is best suited for merchants who require assistance in crafting compelling product descriptions and generating SEO-boosting content across their entire store. These merchants must handle sourcing, fulfillment and all other aspects of the business. SexyLiving, conversely, is ideal for merchants specifically interested in entering the adult wellness market and prefer a dropshipping model, where inventory management and order fulfillment are handled by the app provider. Given its significantly higher rating (though from a small sample), SexyLiving seems to provide a more reliable and comprehensive solution within its niche, while Productly's low rating raises concerns about its effectiveness and reliability, despite the wider applicability of its features.
Common Questions
Which app requires more active management by the merchant?
Productly requires more active management as the merchant is responsible for sourcing products, fulfilling orders, and handling customer service. SexyLiving, being a dropshipping solution, automates order processing and fulfillment, requiring less hands-on involvement after the initial setup.
What if I want to sell adult wellness products AND need help with content creation?
Neither app directly solves both problems. You could use SexyLiving for dropshipping and potentially integrate it with another content generation tool. However, Productly might not be a good choice, consider an alternative due to its very low rating.
How do the apps compare in terms of scalability?
SexyLiving provides a more scalable solution initially since fulfillment is handled for you. Productly's scalability depends on your ability to manage and scale your product sourcing and fulfillment operations, though the AI content creation could speed up the process.
What are the risks associated with each app?
The risks associated with Productly include potentially low-quality content and a generally low rating indicating possible unreliability. The risks associated with SexyLiving include reliance on a single supplier and potential niche-specific regulations and marketing restrictions surrounding adult wellness products.
Which app is more suitable for a beginner Shopify merchant?
SexyLiving is likely more suitable for a beginner because it handles much of the order processing and inventory management. Productly requires the merchant to have more experience with e-commerce fundamentals.
