Promo.com ‑ Promo Video Maker vs Vidoo ‑ AI Product Videosfor Shopify (2026)
Promo.com and Vidoo both aim to help Shopify merchants create product videos, but their approaches differ significantly. Promo.com, with its established presence and larger user base (indicated by 249 reviews), focuses on providing a library of templates and tools for merchants to create videos quickly. Its strength lies in its breadth of options and ease of use for merchants who want a degree of creative control. Vidoo, on the other hand, positions itself as an AI-powered solution for fully automated video creation and posting. Its key advantage is its 'set it and forget it' approach, automatically generating and publishing multilingual videos based on product information. The primary difference lies in the level of automation and control offered. Promo.com is suited for merchants who want to actively participate in the video creation process, selecting templates and customizing content. Vidoo targets merchants who prioritize automation and are looking for a hands-free solution to consistently generate video content. This includes smaller teams or those with limited time for video creation and who may also want to leverage multilingual videos. However, Vidoo's recency is reflected in only 7 reviews. Therefore, merchants should temper their expectations and potentially await further development. Both apps fall under the 'Images and media, Video and livestream' categories in the Shopify App Store.

Our Verdict
If you're a Shopify merchant looking for a hands-on approach to video marketing, with a variety of templates and customization options, Promo.com is likely the better choice. Its established user base and solid rating suggest it's a reliable option. However, if you want a completely automated solution that handles video creation and posting for you, especially if you need multilingual videos, Vidoo is worth considering. Be mindful of the lower number of reviews and potentially slower support response as it is a relatively new app. For a merchant just getting started, Promo.com offers a more controlled and proven path, while Vidoo is appealing to those with larger product catalogs and a lack of available creative staff.
