Propel Replay, Survey, Heatmap vs SEO On: AEO optimizer LLMs.txtfor Shopify (2026)
Propel Replay, Survey, Heatmap and SEO On: AEO optimizer LLMs.txt both aim to optimize Shopify sites, but their approaches differ significantly. Propel focuses on user behavior insights through replays, surveys, and heatmaps, helping merchants understand how visitors interact with their site and identify areas for improvement in usability and conversion. SEO On, on the other hand, appears to be an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tool leveraging AEO (App Store Optimization) and LLMs (Large Language Models) to enhance search engine visibility, likely focusing on keyword optimization, content improvements, and technical SEO aspects. While both apps fall under the 'Site optimization - Other' Shopify category, Propel targets user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimization (CRO), providing tools for visual analysis and feedback collection. SEO On concentrates on organic search traffic acquisition and aims to improve a store's ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs) through advanced optimization techniques. The choice between the two depends on whether a merchant wants to directly analyze user behavior on their site or prioritize improved search engine rankings.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with understanding how users interact with their website, identifying pain points, and improving the user experience to boost conversions, Propel Replay, Survey, Heatmap is the superior choice. Its focus on user behavior insights is invaluable for CRO efforts. However, for merchants prioritizing increased organic traffic through search engines, SEO On: AEO optimizer LLMs.txt is likely the better option. Its specialization in SEO and AEO can help improve search engine rankings and drive more qualified traffic to the store.
If a merchant can only choose one, they should consider their current priorities. If website usability is a major concern, choose Propel. If driving traffic from search engines is the main goal, choose SEO On. Ideally, both tools would be used in conjunction to provide a holistic approach to website optimization.
