Propel Replay, Survey, Heatmap vs Shoplift ‑ A/B Testing & CROfor Shopify (2026)
Propel Replay, Survey, Heatmap and Shoplift ‑ A/B Testing & CRO both aim to optimize Shopify stores, but they approach it from different angles. Propel focuses on understanding user behavior through replays, surveys, and heatmaps to identify areas for improvement. Shoplift, on the other hand, centers around A/B testing various elements of the store, such as content, prices, and themes, to directly improve conversion rates. Propel seems geared towards a more general understanding of customer experience, while Shoplift is specifically focused on quantifiable conversion rate optimization. Shoplift’s Lift Assist feature makes A/B testing more accessible, particularly for merchants without coding experience. Propel's higher review count suggests a wider user base or longer market presence. Shoplift's core value proposition lies in its A/B testing capabilities across various store elements, including product pages, pricing, and theme design. It caters to merchants actively seeking data-driven improvements to conversion rates. Propel, by providing replays, surveys, and heatmaps, allows merchants to gain qualitative and quantitative insights into user behavior, addressing a broader range of site optimization needs. While both apps fall under the 'Site optimization - Other' category, their specific functionalities target different areas of the optimization process.
