Puco Checkout Rules vs RecurrinGO! Subscriptions Appfor Shopify (2026)
Puco Checkout Rules and RecurrinGO! Subscriptions App both address 'Payment options - Other' needs on Shopify, but cater to distinct merchant profiles. Puco Checkout Rules, with a slightly higher rating of 4.9/5 based on 56 reviews, focuses on providing granular control over the checkout process. This suggests features related to customizing payment options, potentially including offering discounts based on payment method, or restricting certain payment methods based on customer criteria or product. RecurrinGO! Subscriptions App, rated 4.7/5 with a significantly larger review base of 135, is designed to enable and manage subscription-based products or services. Its strength lies in recurring billing management and customer subscription control, ideal for businesses offering subscriptions or membership models. Puco appears best suited for stores seeking enhanced flexibility and control over the existing Shopify checkout experience for all customers (not just subscription customers), specifically around payments. RecurrinGO!, conversely, targets businesses looking to add or optimize a subscription-based revenue stream. The substantial difference in review count suggests that RecurrinGO! has a more established presence and potentially more features geared towards subscription management. The lower, but still positive, rating for RecurrinGO! could suggest slightly more complexity or a greater need for customer support in configuring subscription plans compared to the more streamlined checkout adjustments provided by Puco.
