Puco Sections: Theme Sections and Sectional – AI Section Builder both aim to simplify Shopify store design for merchants. Puco Sections offers a vast library of pre-designed sections and blocks, appealing to users who want a quick and comprehensive solution without coding. The app boasts a large collection of 200+ sections across 33+ categories, making it suitable for those seeking variety and readily available options. In contrast, Sectional – AI Section Builder focuses on generating custom sections tailored to a merchant's brand using AI. Merchants can simply describe their vision, and the AI designer translates it into a custom section. This is especially useful for brands looking to stand out with unique visuals and engaging copy. Puco Sections, however, shines in its breadth of pre-built options and ease of use within the Theme Editor. The app’s large number of reviews, 151, suggest that it has built considerable trust within the Shopify community. The main differentiator is that Puco Sections utilizes pre-built sections while Sectional uses AI to generate new ones from prompts. Our Verdict
For merchants who need a comprehensive and readily available set of sections, particularly those who want to quickly deploy and customize proven designs, Puco Sections: Theme Sections is the superior choice. The app's extensive library, positive reviews, and focus on performance and speed make it a reliable option. However, for merchants prioritizing unique branding and custom designs, and who are comfortable experimenting with AI-driven design, Sectional – AI Section Builder offers a compelling alternative. Its ability to generate tailored sections based on prompts opens up possibilities for creating a truly distinctive storefront, although it lacks the established track record of Puco Sections. The low number of reviews compared to Puco Sections suggests that while promising, Sectional is either newer or may not have broad appeal.
