PushEngage Web Push & WhatsApp vs Synt: Automated Web Pushfor Shopify (2026)
PushEngage Web Push & WhatsApp and Synt: Automated Web Push offer Shopify merchants tools for re-engaging shoppers and driving sales through web push notifications. PushEngage positions itself as a multi-channel engagement platform, including WhatsApp integration alongside web push and app push. Their strengths lie in comprehensive features like abandoned cart recovery, order & shipping alerts, and back-in-stock notifications, paired with WhatsApp “Click to Chat”. They appear to target a broader range of merchants, even offering dedicated support for Shopify Plus stores, suggesting scalability. Synt, in contrast, emphasizes AI-powered automation and real-time analytics. Their strength lies in pre-set automations, behavior-based targeting, and AI-driven message optimization. Synt appeals to merchants prioritizing hands-off automation and data-driven campaign refinement. The most significant differentiator is the inclusion of WhatsApp functionality within PushEngage, which Synt lacks. This expands PushEngage's reach beyond web browsers. Another notable difference is Synt's emphasis on AI and automated A/B testing (“Cruise Control”), suggesting a focus on optimization. Further, Synt's “wheel campaigns” cater to merchants specifically focused on growing their email marketing list, a feature absent from PushEngage’s description. However, it's crucial to consider that PushEngage has user reviews, demonstrating real-world application and positive feedback, while Synt lacks any reviews, presenting a riskier choice.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a multi-channel approach with WhatsApp integration and a proven track record (evidenced by positive reviews), PushEngage Web Push & WhatsApp is the stronger choice. The dedicated Shopify Plus support further reinforces its suitability for larger stores needing comprehensive assistance. However, for merchants prioritizing hands-off, AI-driven automation and real-time optimization, especially those focused on growing their email list, Synt: Automated Web Push could be worth exploring, though the complete lack of reviews presents a significant risk.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific needs and risk tolerance. The absence of reviews for Synt makes it impossible to definitively recommend it over PushEngage, which has demonstrated customer satisfaction, even if from a small sample size.
