Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Down vs ST: Product & Collection Sortfor Shopify (2026)
Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Down and ST: Product & Collection Sort both aim to enhance the product display and collection management experience for Shopify merchants, but they target different needs. Pushy focuses solely on a single, specific issue: automatically moving out-of-stock products to the bottom of collections to improve the customer shopping experience and highlight available items. This makes it a highly specialized and straightforward solution. ST: Product & Collection Sort, on the other hand, offers a much broader suite of features for advanced collection merchandising. It leverages data analytics and past order data to enable rule-based sorting based on metrics like revenue, views, and inventory. With functionalities such as product demotion, shuffle sorting, and the ability to create targeted collections (e.g., New Arrivals, Trending), it caters to merchants seeking sophisticated control over their product presentation and a deeper level of collection optimization. While Pushy prioritizes simplicity and automation of a single pain point, ST aims for comprehensive collection management and sales maximization through strategic product placement.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with the simple task of decluttering collection pages by automatically hiding or pushing out-of-stock items to the bottom, Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Down is the clear choice due to its ease of use and focused functionality. It's a straightforward 'set it and forget it' solution.
However, if a merchant desires more advanced control over collection merchandising, using data-driven insights to optimize product placement, and creating curated collections, then ST: Product & Collection Sort is the superior option. Its comprehensive feature set allows for a more nuanced and strategic approach to maximizing revenue and improving the overall shopping experience, but requires a greater time investment to learn and configure.
