Our Verdict
The choice between Pushy and W3 Product Accessories depends heavily on the merchant's primary need. Pushy is ideal for stores struggling with frequent stock-outs and wanting to prioritize in-stock items to improve the shopping experience and reduce customer frustration. It's easy to implement and maintain. W3 Product Accessories is better suited for stores selling products with readily available accessories or complementary items and are looking to increase their average order value. While both apps enhance the shopping experience, they do so by addressing different pain points. Pushy focuses on inventory management perception while W3 focuses on increasing sales per customer.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Pushy is likely easier to set up, offering a one-click enable for all collections and configuration directly within Shopify Admin. W3 Product Accessories may require more configuration, especially if utilizing the API integration for managing accessories programmatically.
Which app will directly impact my average order value (AOV)?
W3 Product Accessories is specifically designed to increase AOV through one-click upsells of related products. Pushy may indirectly improve AOV by showcasing products that are actually available to purchase, but that is not its primary function.
If I have frequent stock outs, which app should I choose?
Pushy | Out Of Stock Push Down is the better choice if you're frequently experiencing stockouts, as it addresses this issue directly by pushing sold-out products to the bottom of collections.
Do either of these apps change the store's theme code?
Pushy states it requires 'no theme changes'. The description of W3 does not mention theme changes. It is likely that W3 does not directly alter the store's theme code, but theme modification may be required to enhance the presentation of the accessory suggestions.
Which app is better for new Shopify store owners?
While both are straightforward to install, Pushy may be better for extremely new store owners to install and forget. The functionality is basic. W3 requires manual accessory assignment which may be too much for store owners with extremely limited time.
