Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with updating product descriptions, pricing, tags, and other product data across a large catalog, QuickEdit: Bulk Product Edit is the clear choice. Its bulk editing capabilities and scheduling features offer significant time savings. The high rating and positive review count provide additional confidence.
Stock Take ‑ Pasilobus is more suitable for businesses focused on optimizing stock receiving, inventory counts, and physical inventory management. While lacking reviews, its integration with Shopify POS and mobile app could be invaluable for streamlining inventory processes, especially for businesses with brick-and-mortar locations. Without reviews, though, the decision to adopt it involves greater risk.
Common Questions
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, technically, as they address different needs. QuickEdit handles product information, while Stock Take handles physical inventory. However, ensure edits made by QuickEdit are reflected in your inventory records if necessary for Stock Take to function accurately.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Stock Take ‑ Pasilobus appears simpler due to its barcode scanning interface, requiring less technical knowledge than QuickEdit's data manipulation approach. However, actual ease of use would require practical testing, particularly given Stock Take’s lack of reviews.
How do these apps handle variant inventory?
QuickEdit allows you to bulk edit variant inventory levels. Stock Take ‑ Pasilobus updates overall stock counts, which includes variants, assuming variants are tracked as separate items in your system.
What happens if I make a mistake using either app?
QuickEdit explicitly offers a revert function to undo changes. Stock Take ‑ Pasilobus does not mention an undo feature, so error correction would likely involve manual adjustments to inventory levels.
Are there any free plans or trials available for either app?
The provided data doesn't specify pricing or free trial availability for either app. You'll need to check the Shopify App Store listings for the most up-to-date pricing and trial information.
Which app is better for preventing stockouts?
Stock Take ‑ Pasilobus, with its focus on real-time inventory updates through barcode scanning, is better positioned to prevent stockouts compared to QuickEdit, which doesn't directly address stock monitoring.
