Raisewave: Fundraiser vs SyncUP: Users and Course Syncfor Shopify (2026)
Raisewave: Fundraiser and SyncUP: Users and Course Sync are both Shopify apps in the "Selling online - Other" category, but they address vastly different needs. Raisewave is positioned as a fundraising automation tool, enabling merchants to easily run campaigns with schools, sports teams, and other organizations. It aims to replace manual fundraising management with a digitized experience, offering unique sales channels, landing pages, and tracking features. Raisewave's strength lies in its ability to segment and track fundraiser orders effectively, streamlining the process for merchants and their partner organizations. SyncUP, on the other hand, focuses on user and course synchronization, particularly between Shopify stores and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Its core value proposition is auto-enrolling users into courses based on product purchases and maintaining consistent user data across multiple platforms using SCIM provisioning. It supports integrations with various LMS platforms and user sync integrations, targeting merchants who sell online courses or need to manage user data across multiple applications. SyncUP aims for seamless integration and a smoother user experience, especially with Shopify's Horizon theme.

Our Verdict
Raisewave: Fundraiser and SyncUP: Users and Course Sync target distinct market segments and address different pain points. Raisewave is the better choice for merchants who regularly conduct fundraising campaigns and need a tool to automate and manage the process efficiently. It provides valuable features for tracking and segmenting fundraiser orders. However, the lack of reviews is a concern and warrants further investigation before committing to the app.
SyncUP is recommended for merchants who sell online courses or require seamless user data synchronization between Shopify and other platforms such as LMS or user management systems. The positive ratings and reviews suggest a reliable and well-functioning app for its intended purpose. Unless a merchant is involved in fundraising specifically, SyncUP is the stronger recommendation given its current positive user feedback.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on their descriptions, Raisewave's setup focuses on campaign creation and sharing links, while SyncUP involves integrating with external platforms. Ease of setup likely depends on the merchant's technical familiarity with fundraising campaigns vs. LMS integrations. However, the lack of reviews on Raisewave means that usability information is not available.
Can both apps integrate with other platforms?
Yes, but in different ways. Raisewave creates unique landing pages and uses QR codes, whereas SyncUP directly integrates with LMS platforms like Uscreen, Docebo, Thinkific, and user sync integrations like Azure and Salesforce.
Which app is better for growing a merchant's email list?
Neither app directly mentions email list growth. Raisewave's landing pages *could* be configured to capture email addresses, but this is not a primary function. SyncUP focuses on user synchronization, which might include email addresses, but its core function is not list building. Additional email marketing apps would likely be needed by merchants using either app.
What if I need both fundraising and user synchronization?
Given that Raisewave is unrated, a merchant might consider integrating SyncUP with other available fundraising apps that have ratings and reviews or find a 3rd party app that combines fundraising & user synching.
How much do these apps cost?
The provided data does not give any information on pricing. Merchants would need to visit the Shopify App Store pages for each app to determine the associated costs and available plans.
