Rakuten Affiliate Tracking and Rave: Referral, Affiliate, UGC, both target Shopify merchants interested in affiliate programs, but they cater to very different needs. Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants already using (or planning to use) the Rakuten Advertising platform, Rakuten Affiliate Tracking is the clear choice. It simplifies the technical integration process and automates crucial reporting tasks, saving time and potentially reducing errors. However, if a merchant is looking for a comprehensive solution to manage their own independent referral and affiliate programs, incorporating UGC, and offering more flexible incentive structures (cash and free items), Rave: Referral, Affiliate, UGC is the superior option. Its higher rating and larger number of reviews also suggest stronger user satisfaction. Rakuten is specific integration, Rave is holistic management.
