Our Verdict
Choosing between RDRCT and WAX depends heavily on your marketing strategy and target audience. If your business relies on physical marketing materials like flyers, posters, or product packaging, and you want a way to track their effectiveness and drive online sales, RDRCT ‑ QR Code Suite is likely the better option. The ability to update QR code destinations and schedule activations provides flexibility and control over your campaigns.
However, if your primary focus is on building direct relationships with customers through mobile messaging and you believe WhatsApp is an effective channel for your target audience, WAX: marketing on WhatsApp is the more suitable choice. Its automated customer journeys, seamless chat integration, and focus on conversational marketing can help drive sales and improve customer retention. Given the higher number of reviews, WAX appears to have a larger user base and potentially a more established track record.
Common Questions
Which app is better for tracking marketing ROI?
Both apps offer tracking capabilities, but they track different things. RDRCT tracks the performance of QR codes (scans, locations, etc.), allowing you to measure the effectiveness of your physical marketing campaigns. WAX tracks the performance of your WhatsApp marketing campaigns (open rates, click-through rates, etc.), allowing you to measure the effectiveness of your conversational marketing efforts. The "better" app depends on where your marketing efforts are focused.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, RDRCT seems simpler to set up initially, as it primarily involves creating and customizing QR codes. WAX, with its conversational flow builder and integration with support tools, may require more initial effort to configure and optimize for your specific business needs.
Which app is more suitable for a small business with limited marketing resources?
RDRCT might be a better starting point for a small business with limited resources as the overhead for creating and managing QR codes is likely lower compared to designing and maintaining complex WhatsApp marketing flows. However, the value of the WhatsApp channel to the business must be considered. If WhatsApp is already a primary channel, WAX would be worth considering, even with a steeper learning curve.
Does either app offer integrations with other marketing tools?
The descriptions don't explicitly mention integrations with other marketing tools for RDRCT. WAX mentions linking your inbox to support tools, suggesting some integration capabilities, though the specifics are not detailed.
Which app focuses more on customer retention?
WAX is explicitly designed for customer retention through post-purchase flows and re-engagement campaigns on WhatsApp. While RDRCT can contribute to customer engagement through creative QR code experiences, its primary focus is on driving initial traffic and sales from physical marketing materials. Therefore, WAX is the clear choice for focusing on customer retention.
