Our Verdict
If your business model relies on subscriptions or you're looking to introduce or improve subscription offerings, Recurpay is the clear choice. Its comprehensive subscription management features, combined with its customizable widget and self-service customer portal, make it ideal for businesses looking to automate and scale their subscription business. However, if your primary goal is to build long-term customer loyalty and increase retention through rewards and referrals, Rivo is the better option. Its robust loyalty platform, seamless integrations, and focus on driving retention metrics make it a powerful tool for DTC brands focused on customer lifetime value.
Common Questions
Can both apps be used together?
While technically possible, their core functionalities overlap. Recurpay excels in subscriptions, while Rivo focuses on broader loyalty. Using both simultaneously might lead to redundancy and customer confusion if not carefully planned.
Which app is easier to set up?
Recurpay claims a quick and easy setup within minutes, suggesting a simpler initial configuration. Rivo, with its extensive customization options and integrations, might require a more involved setup process, particularly for leveraging its full potential.
Which app offers more customization?
Rivo emphasizes full customization through its platform and developer toolkit, providing more granular control over the loyalty program experience. Recurpay offers customization for the subscription widget but seems less flexible overall.
Which app is better for a business that already has a loyalty program?
If the existing loyalty program is ineffective, Rivo could be a good replacement with its focus on metrics. If the current program is working well, Recurpay can still be used to add subscriptions as a revenue stream without impacting the existing loyalty efforts.
Which app is better for a business new to both subscriptions and loyalty programs?
Consider starting with the business model that is easier to implement and manage. If you have physical products, a loyalty program could be a better first step. If you have offerings easily adapted to subscriptions (content, digital goods, or recurring services), then Recurpay may be easier to initially manage.
