Recurpay: Subscriptions app vs SC Conjured Referralsfor Shopify (2026)
Recurpay: Subscriptions app and SC Conjured Referrals offer distinct solutions for Shopify merchants. Recurpay focuses on establishing and managing subscription-based revenue streams. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools for handling recurring payments, customer self-service subscription management (skipping, rescheduling, pausing), and custom branded experiences. The inclusion of 24/7 live human support and a developer-friendly API positions it as a robust, enterprise-ready solution. SC Conjured Referrals, on the other hand, centers on leveraging existing customer loyalty to drive new acquisitions through referral programs. It emphasizes ease of implementation with features like post-purchase popups and auto-coupon generation, along with fraud detection to ensure referral quality. While both apps touch upon customer loyalty (Recurpay through subscription benefits, SC Conjured Referrals through referral rewards), their core functionalities and target audiences differ substantially. Recurpay appeals to merchants selling products or services suitable for subscription models and who require extensive customization and support. SC Conjured Referrals targets merchants seeking to accelerate growth through word-of-mouth marketing and are looking for a relatively quick and easy referral solution. The differing review counts, with Recurpay having more than double the reviews of SC Conjured Referrals, could suggest a larger installed base or a longer time on the Shopify app store.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily focused on building a recurring revenue stream through subscriptions, Recurpay: Subscriptions app is the clear choice. Its comprehensive feature set, including customer self-service options, customization, and dedicated support, provides a powerful platform for managing subscriptions at scale. The 5/5 rating and higher review count suggest strong user satisfaction.
However, for merchants whose priority is accelerating customer acquisition through referrals and who value ease of implementation and built-in fraud prevention, SC Conjured Referrals is the more suitable option. It offers a focused and straightforward solution for leveraging existing customer loyalty to generate new leads, particularly valuable for businesses in competitive markets where word-of-mouth is crucial. While it has a slightly lower rating, the platform might be easier to set up and use for businesses without dedicated technical staff.
