Recurpay: Subscriptions app vs Webkul Crowdfundingfor Shopify (2026)
Recurpay: Subscriptions app and Webkul Crowdfunding both boast a 5/5 rating, but they serve vastly different purposes within the Shopify ecosystem. Recurpay is designed to unlock recurring revenue streams for merchants through automated subscription management. It focuses on providing a robust and user-friendly subscription experience, complete with a customizable customer portal and 24/7 human support. This app appears to target merchants actively seeking to implement or optimize subscription-based business models. Webkul Crowdfunding, on the other hand, falls into the customer loyalty category, implying it helps businesses raise money or pre-sell products. Although the app receives a perfect rating, the small number of reviews (4) means it's much less established or caters to a very niche audience compared to Recurpay. Therefore, the two apps have little in common, despite being listed under the same Shopify category. Recurpay is ideal for merchants looking to offer subscription products, while Webkul's app seems to offer crowdfunding solutions for customer loyalty.
