Redeemly Store Credit Cashback vs SMART Checkout Rulesfor Shopify (2026)
Redeemly Store Credit Cashback and SMART Checkout Rules both operate within the payment options category on Shopify, but address fundamentally different merchant needs. Redeemly focuses on boosting customer loyalty and repeat purchases by offering store credit as a cashback reward, enhancing customer retention and perceived value. Its perfect 5-star rating suggests high user satisfaction. Conversely, SMART Checkout Rules offers granular control over the checkout process itself. It empowers merchants to tailor payment, shipping, and discount options based on pre-defined rules, aiming to optimize conversion rates and manage specific order flows. SMART Checkout Rules is designed for merchants seeking advanced checkout customization and the ability to implement complex business logic without coding. It caters to stores with B2B operations, international shipping, or those needing to manage high-risk orders. The conditional logic and dynamic rule engine provide a means to create custom checkout experiences that adapt to various customer segments or order conditions. While it has a slightly lower rating of 4.9/5, the higher number of reviews suggests broader adoption and potentially more diverse use cases. The two apps share the 'Payment options - Other' category, but their functionalities do not overlap.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing customer retention and aiming to boost repeat purchases, Redeemly Store Credit Cashback is the clear choice. Its simple and direct approach makes it easy to implement and manage a store credit rewards program. The perfect rating, while based on fewer reviews, signals strong user satisfaction.
In contrast, SMART Checkout Rules is better suited for businesses requiring advanced checkout control and the ability to adapt the checkout experience based on complex conditions. If you need to handle B2B orders, manage international shipping complexities, or prevent high-risk transactions, SMART Checkout Rules offers the flexibility and customization needed. It requires a deeper understanding of checkout flows and rule-based logic, but the potential ROI in terms of optimized conversions and reduced risk is significant.
