Our Verdict
The choice between Redirect Ninja and Shogun depends entirely on the merchant's priorities. If a store struggles with broken links, frequent product changes, and needs to maintain or improve its SEO ranking, Redirect Ninja is the clear choice. Its AI-assisted automation and wildcard rules make it a powerful tool for managing redirects at scale. On the other hand, if the primary goal is to increase sales and conversion rates by optimizing the store's design and user experience through experimentation, Shogun ‑ A/B Testing is the better option. Its ability to test different elements of the store and segment audiences provides valuable insights for improving performance.
In essence, Redirect Ninja is a technical SEO tool, while Shogun is a conversion rate optimization tool. For merchants with a strong existing SEO presence and stable product catalog, Shogun might be more valuable. For merchants undergoing frequent changes, migrations, or those with a large catalog and SEO issues, Redirect Ninja is critical.
