ReelUp‑Shoppable Videos+ Reels vs ReviewXpo Product Reviews Appfor Shopify (2026)
ReelUp and ReviewXpo both leverage social proof but target different aspects of the customer journey and product presentation. ReelUp focuses on showcasing user-generated content and short-form videos, like TikToks and Instagram Reels, directly on product pages. Its strength lies in visual engagement and driving conversions through interactive video experiences, positioning it as a tool for merchants looking to boost product page engagement and leverage the popularity of short-form video. ReviewXpo, in contrast, is a comprehensive review management system centered around collecting, displaying, and leveraging customer reviews – text, photo, and video. The core difference lies in their approach to social proof. ReelUp actively uses video to create a dynamic, visually-driven experience while ReviewXpo facilitates structured feedback and builds credibility through ratings, reviews, and automated review generation. ReelUp aims to increase time spent on the product page with video, whilst ReviewXpo leverages reviews for SEO and trust-building. While both fall under the 'Social Proof' category, their functionalities and objectives are quite distinct.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking to leverage the virality of short-form video and UGC to boost product page engagement and conversion rates, ReelUp is the stronger choice. Its seamless integration with TikTok and Instagram, combined with its focus on autoplay video widgets, make it ideal for brands with a strong visual presence. Merchants in highly visual niches (fashion, beauty, etc.) will see higher conversion rates from video demonstrations.
Conversely, merchants prioritizing building customer trust, enhancing SEO through product reviews, and gathering detailed customer feedback should opt for ReviewXpo. Its automated review collection, multi-criteria ratings, and comprehensive review management features make it a robust solution for establishing credibility and improving product quality based on customer insights. ReviewXpo will provide more benefit to brands that need to establish or repair trust signals.
