Our Verdict
Choosing between Referral Rocket & Affiliate and Roster: Ambassador Marketing depends on the specific goals of the Shopify merchant. If the primary aim is to establish a clear, trackable referral program with automated rewards for new customer acquisition, Referral Rocket seems like the better fit. However, the lack of reviews makes it a riskier choice. If the merchant is focused on creating a loyal brand community, generating user-generated content, and leveraging ambassador-driven social campaigns, Roster appears to be the superior option. Roster's positive rating and existing user base offer more confidence. Given the current state, Roster is the safer and potentially more effective choice for most merchants in 2026.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and manage?
Without user reviews, it's difficult to say definitively. Referral Rocket claims to 'simplify creating, managing, and tracking referral programs,' suggesting ease of use. Roster emphasizes efficient recruitment and management of ambassadors, which implies a user-friendly interface as well. User reviews for Roster give it the edge in terms of perceived ease of use.
Which app offers better ROI tracking?
Both apps claim to offer ROI tracking. Referral Rocket provides an 'Integrated Dashboard,' while Roster offers 'Engagement Data & ROI Reporting.' Therefore, both offer ways to measure ROI, but Roster's focus on engagement data provides more insight into ambassador activity.
Which app is better for small businesses with limited budgets?
The information provided doesn't include pricing details. A true recommendation would require knowing which offers a more affordable plan, or if either offers a free trial. However, Roster's focus on ambassador marketing *could* be more cost effective compared to traditional paid advertising, making it potentially more suitable for budget-conscious smaller businesses, assuming reasonable pricing.
Which app offers better customer support?
The app descriptions do not mention anything about customer support. The review count of Roster suggests a higher likelihood of a more mature support infrastructure.
Which app focuses more on gamification?
Referral Rocket explicitly mentions a 'Gamified Rewards System,' indicating a stronger focus on incorporating game-like elements to engage customers and incentivize referrals. Roster does not mention gamification specifically.
