Referwo vs Roster: Ambassador Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
Referwo and Roster: Ambassador Marketing, while both operating in the affiliate program space on Shopify, take distinctly different approaches to leveraging external influence for sales growth. Referwo focuses on connecting brands with social media *influencers* through a platform that facilitates Gifted Collaboration and commission-based earnings, emphasizing a direct transaction between brands and influencers. This approach relies on finding individuals with existing large followings. Roster, conversely, centers around building and nurturing a *brand ambassador community* of passionate fans, aiming to scale word-of-mouth marketing. Roster emphasizes community engagement, user-generated content (UGC), and long-term relationships with its ambassadors. The key difference lies in whether the merchant wants to manage individual influencer campaigns or build an ongoing brand ambassador program.

Our Verdict
Roster: Ambassador Marketing is the better choice for merchants aiming to cultivate a loyal brand community and organically increase brand awareness through incentivized word-of-mouth marketing. Its focus on UGC and long-term relationships is crucial in 2026 where consumers crave authenticity. The higher rating and existing reviews also offer more confidence. Referwo is potentially useful for merchants seeking a quick boost in sales through targeted influencer campaigns, but the lack of reviews and zero rating raises significant concerns about its reliability and effectiveness. If quick reach with minimal relationship investment is needed, and you're willing to take a risk, Referwo *might* be considered, but only after thorough due diligence.
