Rekitr Subscriptions App vs SortNHidefor Shopify (2026)
Rekitr Subscriptions App and SortNHide address different aspects of a Shopify merchant's needs. Rekitr focuses on subscription management, offering tools for building customized subscription boxes (Build-a-Box), flexible billing plans (prepaid/pay-as-you-go), custom widget designs, and automated recurring billing. Its strength lies in enhancing customer retention and recurring revenue through personalized subscription options and multilingual support. Rekitr targets merchants looking to establish or improve their subscription-based offerings. SortNHide, on the other hand, prioritizes checkout flow optimization. It allows merchants to customize payment and delivery options, apply shipping discounts, block checkout based on specific conditions, and validate carts in real-time. SortNHide's primary focus is creating a smooth and secure checkout experience by managing payment and delivery customizations. Unlike Rekitr, SortNHide doesn't offer subscription management features. The key difference lies in their core functionalities: Rekitr is geared towards subscription management and customer retention through personalization, while SortNHide is focused on optimizing the checkout process. Choosing between the two depends entirely on whether the merchant's primary need is to establish or enhance subscriptions or to improve the checkout flow, specifically in hiding, renaming, and sorting payment and delivery options based on various conditions.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing recurring revenue and offering personalized subscription boxes, Rekitr Subscriptions App is the clear choice. Its Build-a-Box feature, flexible plans, and custom widget designs directly address the needs of a subscription-based business. The multilingual support further expands its appeal. However, a merchant needing to carefully control the payment and shipping options shown to customers, and apply discounts on those options, would find SortNHide more suitable, despite its lack of reviews at this time. The key difference is that SortNHide does not provide any subscription functionality.
Ultimately, the selection hinges on the merchant's specific needs: subscription management (Rekitr) or checkout flow optimization (SortNHide). The complete lack of reviews for SortNHide is a concern, and merchants should proceed cautiously, considering whether to wait for user feedback to emerge.
Common Questions
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but with caveats. Rekitr manages subscriptions, while SortNHide manages checkout options. There might be some overlap in payment gateway integration, but in general they are compatible. This depends on the merchant's specific use-cases and configuration.
Which app is easier to set up?
Rekitr claims easy integration with any theme. SortNHide's rule-based validation may require more configuration. However, without knowing the technical details of 'easy integration' and the ease of creating rules, it is difficult to judge.
Does Rekitr support international currencies?
The description mentions multilingual support, implying an understanding of international customers, but currency support is not explicitly stated. Merchants would need to confirm this directly with Rekitr's support or documentation.
Can SortNHide be used to prevent fraudulent orders?
SortNHide mentions a 'secure' checkout, and 'rule-based checkout validation.' Preventing fraudulent orders could potentially be implemented as a rule based on address, location, order size, etc., but it is not its primary use case and is unlikely to be robust fraud detection without integrations with dedicated fraud prevention apps.
What happens if a customer wants to cancel a subscription managed by Rekitr?
The provided information does not specify the cancellation process within Rekitr. One would have to explore the features within the app itself (self-service cancellation, etc.) or contact customer support.
