Rekitr Subscriptions App vs Trial: Try Before You Buyfor Shopify (2026)
Rekitr Subscriptions App and Trial: Try Before You Buy are two apps listed under 'Payment options - Other' in the Shopify app store, but they cater to vastly different needs and operate at different stages of maturity. Rekitr focuses on building and managing flexible subscription services, offering features like Build-a-Box, custom billing plans (prepaid/pay-as-you-go), and customizable widgets, aiming to increase customer retention and revenue. It positions itself as a solution for merchants seeking to implement robust subscription models with personalized options. Trial: Try Before You Buy, on the other hand, focuses solely on a 'try before you buy' model and appears to be a very new product with no user reviews or rating as of this evaluation. The key difference lies in their functional breadth and maturity. Rekitr boasts comprehensive subscription management features, a user rating, and reviews which suggests active usage and some level of user satisfaction. It offers automated billing, real-time tracking, and multilingual support, pointing to a more established and feature-rich solution. Trial: Try Before You Buy provides limited information and lacks any indication of user traction or feature depth, making direct comparison difficult beyond their respective core focuses of 'subscriptions' versus 'trial' purchase flow.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive and actively used subscription management solution with flexible options like Build-a-Box and custom billing, Rekitr Subscriptions App is the clear choice. Its existing reviews, features, and stated ease of integration make it a more reliable option, even if the review count is small. The 'Trial: Try Before You Buy' app, given its lack of reviews and information, would only be suitable for merchants specifically looking to implement a try before you buy option, and willing to take a risk on an unproven and potentially less supported app.
Merchants heavily relying on a proven solution and established features should strongly consider Rekitr Subscriptions App. Merchants who are comfortable beta testing and want exclusively try before you buy may consider the other app at their own risk, however, would be wise to thoroughly research it and confirm it suits their needs and expectations.
