Releasit COD Form & Upsells vs Wrapin ‑ Gift Wrap & Optionsfor Shopify (2026)
Releasit COD Form & Upsells and Wrapin ‑ Gift Wrap & Options both aim to increase revenue for Shopify merchants through upselling, but they approach this goal in fundamentally different ways. Releasit focuses on optimizing the Cash on Delivery (COD) checkout process by creating custom forms and offering upsells directly within that flow. It's geared towards merchants who rely heavily on COD and want to reduce fraud and increase order value through strategic upsells during checkout. Wrapin, on the other hand, specializes in enhancing the customer experience by enabling gift wrapping and personalized messaging options. This app is suited for merchants who sell products that are frequently given as gifts and want to offer a premium, thoughtful experience that can differentiate them from competitors. The core difference lies in their value proposition: Releasit is about improving operational efficiency and maximizing revenue during a specific checkout method, while Wrapin is about enhancing the customer experience and leveraging the gift-giving occasion for upselling opportunities. Releasit likely requires more technical setup focused on form customization, while Wrapin focuses on offering attractive gift wrapping options and seamless integration into the existing store theme. While both apps fall into the 'Upsell and cross-sell' category, their target users and functionalities are distinct.
