Report Toaster: Custom Reports vs VAT Dual Pricingfor Shopify (2026)
Report Toaster: Custom Reports and VAT Dual Pricing, while both categorized under 'Finances' on the Shopify app store, serve drastically different purposes. Report Toaster is an advanced reporting and analytics tool aimed at providing merchants with in-depth, customizable insights into their sales and operations. It emphasizes data customization, automation, and sharing of reports, targeting merchants seeking comprehensive business intelligence. VAT Dual Pricing, conversely, focuses on clearly displaying pricing with and without VAT, mainly for businesses selling to both B2B and B2C customers who need transparent tax information. The primary distinction lies in their target audiences and functionality. Report Toaster is for merchants who need detailed reports, custom data analysis, and automated insights to make informed decisions. It features a wide range of report templates, data export capabilities, and multi-store reporting. VAT Dual Pricing, however, is geared toward businesses dealing with VAT regulations and catering to customers who require clear visibility of tax implications. Its key features include dual pricing displays on various store pages, tax rule customization, and text customization to match the store's branding.

If the primary requirement is to gain detailed business intelligence through custom reports, automated analytics, and data-driven insights, Report Toaster is the clear choice. Its advanced features are suited for merchants needing a comprehensive understanding of their sales, inventory, and other business metrics.
