Our Verdict
The best app depends entirely on the merchant's strategy. If a merchant already has a strong presence and positive reviews on Amazon, Reputon Amazon Reviews is a straightforward way to capitalize on that social proof within their Shopify store. It's about leveraging existing assets. Conversely, if a merchant is actively creating video content on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and wants to create a more engaging and interactive shopping experience directly on their site, Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel is the clear choice. It offers a dynamic, user-generated content-driven approach to conversions.
Common Questions

Without specific usability data, it's impossible to say definitively. However, Reputon, being focused on importing reviews, likely has a simpler setup process. Whatmore, with its video integration, auto-sync, and AI tagging, might require a slightly steeper learning curve initially, but offer greater long-term value if the video strategy is already in place.
Which app provides better social proof for my products?
Both provide social proof but in different ways. Reputon leverages established Amazon reviews, offering credibility from a major marketplace. Whatmore uses video content, often featuring user-generated content, providing visual proof and social validation through engagement metrics.
Will either app slow down my Shopify store?
