Request a Quote & Hide Prices vs YouQuote: Request a Quote Formfor Shopify (2026)
Both "Request a Quote & Hide Prices" and "YouQuote: Request a Quote Form" apps aim to solve the same problem for Shopify merchants: enabling customers to request quotes instead of directly purchasing products at a fixed price. This is useful for businesses selling custom, high-value, or complex products where pricing depends on specific requirements. While both apps are rated 5/5, the significant difference lies in the number of reviews. "YouQuote" boasts 27 reviews, indicating a larger user base and more community feedback. "Request a Quote & Hide Prices", with a single review, suggests either a very new app or a very small, highly satisfied user base. Without further information about their features beyond the provided data, comparing their functionalities is difficult. However, the review count serves as a crucial initial data point when evaluating these options.

Our Verdict
Given the current data, "YouQuote: Request a Quote Form" appears to be the safer choice for most merchants due to the significantly higher number of reviews. This suggests a more established user base and greater likelihood of finding solutions to common issues or understanding the app's limitations through community feedback. "Request a Quote & Hide Prices" might be a viable option for adventurous merchants willing to take a chance on a newer app, but the lack of reviews makes it difficult to assess its reliability and suitability.
Common Questions
Which app is more likely to be reliable in 2026?
Based solely on the review counts in 2026, "YouQuote: Request a Quote Form" is likely to be more reliable. A higher number of reviews usually indicates a more tested and refined app.
If I'm risk-averse, which app should I choose?

Could "Request a Quote & Hide Prices" be better despite the lack of reviews?
Potentially, but it's a gamble. It might have innovative features or excellent customer support, but without more information, it's hard to assess.
What if both apps have feature parity? Which one should I select?
Even with identical features, "YouQuote: Request a Quote Form" is the preferable choice due to the higher review count. More users suggest a higher probability that it meets merchant needs effectively.
How can I make a better decision without more information?
Look for free trials or demos of both apps, if available. Contact the app developers with specific questions about your business needs. Check for any online forums or communities where users might be discussing these apps (though that's outside the given data). Also check the last updated date for both apps - a recently updated app is probably still supported.
