Return Prime:Return & Exchange vs TrackingMore Order Trackingfor Shopify (2026)
Return Prime: Return & Exchange and TrackingMore Order Tracking are both highly-rated (4.9/5) Shopify apps in the Shipping category, but they address distinct pain points in the post-purchase customer journey. Return Prime focuses on streamlining and optimizing the returns and exchange process, turning potentially negative experiences into opportunities for revenue recovery and increased customer lifetime value. It's designed for direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands looking to manage returns efficiently, reduce refund rates, and encourage exchanges or upsells. TrackingMore Order Tracking, on the other hand, concentrates on improving the order tracking experience. It aims to reduce 'Where is my order?' (WISMO) inquiries, build trust through branded tracking pages, and drive revenue through pre-purchase estimated delivery dates (EDD) and upsells. The core difference lies in their focus: Return Prime handles the return process after a customer initiates a return, while TrackingMore manages the order tracking experience from fulfillment to delivery. Return Prime offers a branded return portal with custom rules for approvals and rejections, return label generation, and integrations with WMS and logistics tools. TrackingMore provides branded multilingual tracking pages, automated notifications, pre-purchase EDD, and features like hiding Chinese origins for dropshippers. Ultimately, Return Prime targets merchants prioritizing efficient return management and revenue recovery, while TrackingMore caters to those seeking to improve the post-purchase tracking experience and reduce customer service inquiries.

Our Verdict
If your primary concern is streamlining the returns process, reducing refund rates, and recovering revenue through exchanges and upsells during returns, Return Prime: Return & Exchange is the better choice. Its focus on a branded return portal, automated rules, and WMS integrations makes it a powerful tool for DTC brands.
However, if you are experiencing a high volume of 'Where is my order?' inquiries, want to improve customer trust through a branded tracking experience, and need features like pre-purchase EDD or dropshipping support, TrackingMore Order Tracking is the more suitable option. While both apps offer upsell opportunities, TrackingMore’s pre-purchase EDD and tracking page promotions provide a different angle for boosting sales.
