ReviewsYard — Product Reviews vs Trustpilot Reviewsfor Shopify (2026)
ReviewsYard — Product Reviews and Trustpilot Reviews both aim to leverage customer reviews to boost sales and build trust. ReviewsYard positions itself as a tool for automatically collecting and displaying product reviews, primarily focusing on automating the review request process and providing incentives. Its key strength lies in its high rating and positive review count, suggesting strong user satisfaction and ease of use for product-specific reviews. It is tailored for merchants who want a straightforward solution for gathering and showcasing product feedback directly on their Shopify store. Trustpilot Reviews, on the other hand, aims for a broader approach, focusing on building an online presence and leveraging reviews for marketing beyond the Shopify store. Its feature set includes integrating with Google Ads and onsite widgets for increased visibility, targeting merchants who want to enhance their brand's overall reputation and drive traffic through external platforms. However, its significantly lower rating indicates potential user dissatisfaction, possibly stemming from complexity or integration issues. The key difference lies in ReviewsYard's focus on in-store, product-specific feedback versus Trustpilot's emphasis on building an external brand reputation.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily focused on collecting and showcasing product reviews directly on their store and prioritizing ease of use and high user satisfaction, ReviewsYard — Product Reviews appears to be the better choice. Its high rating and focused feature set suggest a more streamlined and effective solution for managing product feedback.
However, if a merchant's goal is to build a broader online reputation beyond their Shopify store and leverage reviews for external marketing efforts (such as Google Ads) despite the significantly lower app rating, Trustpilot Reviews may be considered, albeit with caution and careful consideration of user feedback regarding its usability and effectiveness.
