REZ Back In Stock Notify Me vs SG: Notify Me ‑ Back in Stockfor Shopify (2026)
REZ Back In Stock Notify Me positions itself as a comprehensive solution for managing out-of-stock scenarios and generating revenue through pre-orders and backorders. Its strength lies in its feature-rich approach, offering pre-order functionality, partial payments, customization options, and detailed analytics. It seems designed for merchants looking to actively manage demand and extract maximum value from products that are temporarily unavailable. In contrast, SG: Notify Me - Back in Stock focuses on simplicity and ease of use, providing a basic but functional email notification system for restocked items. It emphasizes its 'no-code' installation and automatic operation, appealing to merchants seeking a quick and hands-off solution for notifying customers about restocks. The significant difference between the two lies in their scope. REZ offers a full suite of tools to manage the entire pre-order and back-in-stock process, from collecting partial payments to detailed reporting. SG: Notify Me focuses solely on automating email notifications when products are restocked, sacrificing advanced features for simplicity and speed of implementation. REZ appears geared toward larger or more sophisticated merchants who need detailed control and want to maximize revenue from out-of-stock items, while SG: Notify Me seems best suited for smaller businesses or those prioritizing ease of use over extensive features.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive solution to handle pre-orders, backorders, and generate revenue while managing out-of-stock products, REZ Back In Stock Notify Me is the clear choice, despite potentially requiring a more involved setup. Its extensive features and positive user reviews (5/5 rating and 44 reviews) suggest a valuable investment for businesses looking to optimize their inventory management and sales strategies.
However, for merchants who prioritize simplicity and ease of use above all else and require only basic back-in-stock email notifications, SG: Notify Me - Back in Stock provides a viable option. Its no-code installation and automated operation make it a quick and hassle-free solution, though the lower rating (2.4/5) and fewer reviews (15) indicate potential limitations in features or customer satisfaction compared to REZ.
