Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with recovering lost sales due to out-of-stock items and capturing demand early through pre-orders, REZ Back In Stock Notify Me appears to be the stronger choice. Its positive reviews and specific feature set focused on customer engagement and revenue generation make it a compelling option. The analytics provided by REZ can also help with inventory forecasting and strategic decision-making.
ShopAlert: Order Notifications is more suitable for merchants prioritizing internal operational efficiency and quick responses to orders and inventory changes. It's ideal for businesses with teams that need to be kept informed of key store events in real-time. However, the lack of reviews and lower rating indicates potentially lower reliability and customer satisfaction than REZ, but it could still be valuable for merchants where stock monitoring and immediate email alerting are top priority.
