Our Verdict
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants, especially those not on Shopify Plus, Rockit Discounts & Sales App is the clear choice. Its comprehensive features for creating and managing sales events, coupled with its high rating and numerous reviews, make it a reliable option for boosting sales. It provides tangible tools to improve conversions and drive revenue.
Shopify Checkout Blocks is exclusively for Shopify Plus merchants who require a high degree of customization within their checkout process. If your business needs include validating address formats, creating unique post-purchase discount offers, or re-arranging payment options, and you are on Shopify Plus, then this app warrants consideration. However, if you lack a Shopify Plus plan, the app is entirely irrelevant to your needs.
Common Questions
Can I use both apps at the same time?
Potentially, but they address different stages of the customer journey. Rockit focuses on pre-purchase discounts, while Shopify Checkout Blocks targets the post-purchase checkout experience (Shopify Plus only). There may be overlap in the discount application but the tools themselves are designed for separate business areas.
Is Rockit Discounts & Sales App compatible with Shopify Plus?
The app description doesn't explicitly state incompatibility, so it's likely compatible. However, Shopify Plus merchants might find Rockit's features redundant depending on their specific customization needs.
How easy is it to set up a flash sale with Rockit Discounts & Sales App?
The app's headline emphasizes ease of use with terms like 'flash sale' and 'easy sale,' suggesting a streamlined process for creating and scheduling such promotions. The bulk editor and scheduler should allow for efficient price and discount management.
Does Shopify Checkout Blocks work on standard Shopify plans?
No, the app description explicitly states that it is only for Shopify Plus merchants.
Which app is better for improving my conversion rate?
Rockit Discounts & Sales App is better suited for directly improving conversion rates by creating urgency and highlighting discounts to encourage purchases. While Shopify Checkout Blocks can improve customer satisfaction, it's unlikely to have the same direct impact on initial conversion as pre-purchase discount strategies.
